Closing Remarks for the 13th Annual Congress of Japan Robotic Surgery Society
On January 23, 2021, the "13th Annual Congress of Japan Robotic Surgery Society" was successfully held completely online under the theme "The Dawn of a New Era of Robotics" at the Fukuoka International Congress Center in Fukuoka City. Initially, we considered a hybrid event due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but decided to hold it completely online following the state of emergency declaration. We decided to broadcast all programs online, with six separate venues, and thanks to the thorough connection checks conducted by the speakers and chairpersons in advance, the event proceeded very smoothly. Overall, despite the state of emergency and the complete online format, we were able to conclude the event without major issues thanks to the cooperation of the faculty members, the society's secretariat, Shinkyo Co., Ltd., and most importantly, the nationwide participants who joined online. We deeply appreciate everyone's support. We hope to overcome COVID-19 and meet you in person at next year's event.
